EASY INSTALLATION

FiberTech® BenderBoard landscape edging can be installed using standard wood working tools and techniques.  There is no need to pre-soak FiberTech® BenderBoard prior to bending into shapes, and no special saws or other tools to purchase.  Sturdy, curving garden edging and concrete borders can be made quickly and easily.

Set the line of the BenderBoard with a string line (for straight installations) or market paint (for freeform layout).

Dig a trench to a depth that will leave the desired amount of BenderBoard exposed above ground when installed. Lay the BenderBoard into the trench.

Install stakes (FiberTech® composite stakes recommended), at 3-5’ centers, depending on the application. Tight curves may require stakes at 12-24” centers. Drive stakes to a depth so that the top will be 1” below the top of the BenderBoard.

Fix the BenderBoard to the stakes with at least two galvanized or stainless steel screws or nails. Fix from the BenderBoard through to the stakes.
When joining two BenderBoards, use one stake and two fasteners for each board. No overlapping or boards is necessary. Back fill the trench and compact soil against both sides of the board.
